About Daniel
Born and raised in South Florida, Daniel Fertig has always had a passion for real estate. Growing up in North Miami, in what is now known as Aventura, he would visit model homes and development sites with a notepad as a child. Moving to a condo as a teenager and learning to drive in the area, he expanded his interest and knowledge base to all residential real estate.
Daniel attended college at Colgate University in upstate New York, having strong family roots in the New York tri-state area, but always knew he wanted to move back to South Florida. After graduating from Colgate University, he obtained his real estate license so he could learn all aspects of the real estate industry and better understand the market throughout the country and at large. Immediately after college, he spent a year with a construction company as a project manager, where he assisted in developing properties from pre-construction to tenant occupied. Immediately following his project manager role, Daniel attended the University of Miami Business School and received his MBA in both Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions. Through his schooling and real-life experiences, Daniel became more exposed to and knowledgeable about the luxury industry. While interning in the banking industry during business school, Daniel accepted a position at Bayview Asset Management working in all capacities in the real estate finance and loan servicing space.
From helping borrowers with refinance options to assisting in the sale of foreclosed homes for the company's hedge fund, Daniel has an extensive background in the corporate side of the industry, managing a group of 30 to 50 realtors across the country. While at Bayview, he gained much experience in negotiations, contracts, closings, property management, and servicing clients throughout the home buying, selling, and investing process. After 8 years at Bayview, and having moved to Wellington with his wife and dog, Daniel is thrilled to use his knowledge and passion to join Compass and The Grodzicki Group. Prior to moving to Wellington, Daniel lived in Aventura, Coral Gables, Brickell, Fort Lauderdale, and Boca Raton. With personal and work experience throughout South Florida, joining the Grodzicki Group and servicing the luxury market is a natural fit. In his free time, Daniel enjoys playing and watching sports and spending time with his family.
