VP of Development Nakoma Resort
Dan’s first days in the Lost Sierra were spent as a Forestry student while attending UC Berkeley. His field courses took him throughout the area, instilling in him a deep connection with the land and people he encountered. He then fought fires for the U.S. Forest Service on the Plumas National Forest for three years before launching his career in architecture and construction, leading to his own Design/Build firm.
As luck would have it, the opportunity to return to the area with the Nakoma development team presented itself and he has been part of that team for the past 11 years. As VP of Development, resort General Manager, and Director of Sales, Dan’s knowledge of and vision for the Nakoma Community knows no equal.
He loves raising his family in such a safe, supportive environment and it gives him great satisfaction to watch his boys develop an abiding connection with the natural environment.
As the principal in Nakoma’s in-house Design-Build firm, North Sierra Homes, Dan has the opportunity to help bring each client’s vision into actuality, a privilege he relishes.
