David Dorris

David began his professional real estate career with Village Real Estate in 2007. Since that time he has worked to successfully nurture and grow both his business, and his knowledge of Nashville's dynamic real estate market, earning the place of the top producing agent at Village in multiple years.

A native Nashvillian, David's connection to the market here has been a part of his life since the earliest of years. From learning the value of a real estate investment as a child; to purchasing his first piece of property at the age of 18, David exhibits a true example of grassroots growth and development. David has completed the sales of multiple new construction projects, along with playing a pivotal role in the search and acquisition of land for such developments. He took his expertise to the next level in 2018, when he, along with 4 other agents, purchased Village Real Estate firm. Then in 2020, they purchased Parks Real Estate leading to the merger with national brand, Compass Real Estate in 2024. David's extensive knowledge of the industry and this market, along with his 17 years of sales success, has made him a vital source of growth and leadership to Compass's sales and development. 

David earned his bachelor's degree in Business Real Estate from the University of Mississippi, where he also played football for the Ole Miss Rebels. He resides in the Oak Hill neighborhood with his wife Emily and 5 children.
