David Leighton

Born in Westbrook, Maine, David Leighton has proudly called Miami home for more than 60 years. Over nearly four decades in real estate, he has developed an exceptional understanding of South Florida’s diverse cultures, iconic architecture, and distinctive neighborhoods.

David’s career began with the ownership and operation of a successful property management company, where he oversaw both client investments and his own portfolio of renovated properties. He earned a reputation for his meticulous work with many of Miami’s premier boutique and luxury buildings.

Licensed in real estate since 1994, David has built a multifaceted career that spans residential sales, property management, leadership, and brokerage development. As market conditions evolved, he became a trusted resource for

asset managers handling bank-owned properties. He later recruited, managed, and launched numerous offices for a major real estate company. Following the sale of that firm, David and a partner founded and grew another successful brokerage.

Throughout his career, David has successfully closed hundreds of transactions and built a loyal client base that returns to him time and again. His reputation is founded on integrity, loyalty, market expertise, and a genuine commitment to helping clients make informed real estate decisions.

Today, David is a Real Estate Advisor with Compass, where he specializes in luxury residences, waterfront properties, and new developments throughout Miami and the Florida Keys.
