David Scher

David A. Scher is an Executive Managing Director in the New York office of Compass, bringing more than 20 years of experience in New York City commercial real estate.

Over the course of his career, David has advised a diverse range of clients, from emerging businesses to globally recognized companies. His client roster includes organizations such as StubHub, Onward Holdings, J. Press, and Town & Country Living, as well as major investment banks and law firms. Within the hospitality sector, he has represented leading restaurant groups including Chubby Group and Thai Villa Group, along with several Michelin-starred chefs and operators.

In addition to his tenant representation work, David has partnered with prominent ownership groups and landlords, including The Domain Companies, Investcorp, Windsor Management, and The Hakimian Organization, overseeing leasing assignments totaling more than 750,000 square feet.

Prior to joining Compass, David served as Executive Managing Director at Lee & Associates NYC. Earlier in his career, he was a Managing Director at Coldwell Banker Commercial, where he specialized in tenant advisory services.

Known for his hands-on approach, strong market knowledge, and long-standing client relationships, David has built a career on delivering strategic real estate solutions and achieving results for both occupiers and owners throughout New York City.
