About David
An Associate Broker in New York City for over a decade, David Schwartz has acquired extensive knowledge of all facets of real estate and enjoyed great success in his industry. With coveted awards and over $300 million in sales to date, he heads up a top team, The David Schwartz Team at Compass, delivering the highest standard of service and results to every client, in any neighborhood and price point.

David understands his clients' motivations and has a strong command of the market, it's fluctuations, and opportunities. This expertise, coupled with his vast connections, have set him apart as a leading Downtown specialist, and top sales and rental agent. Having studied real estate for many years, he started working overseas developing real estate projects, and with land developers. David went on to the world of finance at a hedge fund, and ultimately brought his keen financial, risk management, interpersonal and client service skills to real estate brokerage. He also has experience as property manager for his clientsā€™ investments, and personally invests in real estate both in the U.S. and internationally.

In addition David has sold many new developments, and is recognized by StreetEasy as an accomplished Downtown specialist, and building specialist for over 26 buildings. Prior to joining Compass, he was part of a premier team that was #1 in Lower Manhattan and in the top 2% for all of Manhattan which he helped manage. Plus he mentored more than 25 agents who now enjoy thriving careers. 

A lifelong New Yorker, David lives Downtown. He holds BA in Finance from Hofstra, and was part of several exciting ventures early on. As an avid follower of the stock and real estate markets, David is very analytical and focused on creating custom strategies for each client based on their unique needs. He is the ultimate resource for all things real estate, whether helping a first-time home buyer, seller, renter, landlord or developer, selling a condo, co-op or townhouse, advising on staging and renovations, or building income-producing portfolios like groups of condos and multifamily homes.

David speaks fluent English and Hebrew. He gives extreme dedication to everything he does, from getting his clients the best deal to excelling in his personal hobbies that include athletics and martial arts. Art, pets and reading are among his other passions.
