Jeanne has been proud to call Capitol Hill home since 1985, involving herself in several residential restoration/renovation projects long before her beloved neighborhood’s charms became as evident as they are today. A successful agent since 2004, she partnered with Phil Guire in 2006. The Phil & Jeanne Team has been consistently recognized as top producers, securing over $300 million in transactions. In early 2015 they were recruited to help launch Compass on Capitol Hill, and named Vice Presidents shortly thereafter. The Phil & Jeanne Team continues to garner accolades, being named one of Washingtonian’s Top Real Estate Teams in 2016 and 2017.
Staging and preparing properties for sale and maximizing sellers’ ROI is one of Jeanne’s key strengths, while being equally adept at helping buyers visualize possibilities and solutions for their new homes. After seeing how she’d transformed their properties, more than a few sellers have kidded that they might reconsider their decision to move.
Sellers have also benefitted from Jeanne's ability to successfully pitch stories to the press about seemingly-insignificant yet interesting details about their houses. These have ranged from a Washington Post story about the former home of The Man in the Green Hat (the Prohibition-era bootlegger to Congress, and namesake of Green Hat Gin), to a Post article about a house sold after a devastating fire, to a Curbed post about repurposed historic ironwork. She herself has been featured in Curbed, interviewed on television, and quoted in the Washington Business Journal, as well as in blogs about real estate, bicycling, and the intersection of the two.
Equally passionate about real estate and bicycling, Jeanne is an unabashed Tour de France fanatic, a lifetime member of WABA (the Washington Area Bicyclist Association), and was featured in Forbes in 2013 as the realtor who "uses pedal power to sell houses". Despite a jaunty in-town polka dot helmet, she is a very serious cyclist, having toured by bicycle extensively throughout Western Europe, the U.S., and across Costa Rica and Chile with her husband, Randolph.
Active in the community for many years, and known with Phil for sponsoring practically everything “Hill-related”, she volunteers on the Capitol Hill Community Foundation Literary Feast, served 12 years on the Cheverly pool board, and is a former CHAMPS board member.
Jeanne is a graduate of the CUA School of Architecture, with a concentration in Historic Preservation. Prior to real estate, she spent 15 years in hotel management, honing her excellent customer service skills at The Ritz Carlton, The Willard, The Sheraton Grand, and The Washington Court hotels.
