Deborah Brophy

With a strong foundation in education and counseling, Deborah Brophy brings a unique blend of professionalism, insight, and dedication to her role as an Affiliate Broker with Compass RE and The Waypoint Team. A graduate of Towson University, Deborah holds three majors—Psychology, Secondary Education, and Social Studies—and later earned her master’s degree in School Counseling from The George Washington University. 

Before transitioning to real estate, Deborah spent over 15 years as a passionate educator in Fairfax County, Virginia, where she was known for her commitment to student success and community engagement. In 2009, she relocated to the Nashville area with her husband Steve, bringing with her a deep dedication to service and connection that continues to define her work today. 

Deborah met her colleague John while completing real estate licensure training, where a shared vision for service and integrity laid the foundation for their collaboration at The Waypoint Team. She approaches every client relationship with the same care and respect she would offer family. Backed by her deep listening skills, problem-solving mindset, and compassionate approach, Deborah is a trusted advocate for clients navigating the buying and selling process. Outside of real estate, Deborah enjoys life with her husband Steve, their two children, and their three beloved dogs—a black lab and two English Cream Retrievers. Her daughter is an aspiring film and music mogul, and her son is on track to graduate from high school in 2026. Whether at home or with clients, Deborah brings warmth, attentiveness, and a genuine desire to help others find their place to thrive
