"Deirdre helped us sell the house we lived in for more than 2 decades, which I mention because there were a lot of memories in the house, as well as a lot of possessions accumulated during that time. She was exceptional at supporting us in the process of decluttering the house, staging it, communicating to us all the various steps we had to go through. All of these are things that most realtors do, but there were a few things that Deirdre did that I don't think any other realtor would have done. She is extremely hands on. She helped us find craftsmen to make minor repairs to the house quickly and cost-effectively. She came to help me trim a few bushes, and planted plants herself. She advised on decluttering, and though she didn't help pack some of the stuff, she was nice enough to let us store a few extra boxes in her house. That sort of hands-on, let's get things done attitude is pretty remarkable. She aggressively marketed the property. We were selling in the fall, not a great time to sell a house. Deirdre held several open houses, realtor open houses, and it seemed to me she really beat the bushes to get people into the house. We consistently had a lot of potential buyers coming through. She was an excellent communicator. We texted and emailed regularly to ensure coordination-that we would be away when someone wanted to see the house, if someone was interested or wanted more information, or any other important piece of information that needed to be shared. We always were aware of where things stood and what was going on. Deirdre brings added value because she is a great salesperson for the neighborhood where we live. She knows it and sells it-the schools, the people, the location, the amenities. Another realtor without the in-depth knowledge of that neighborhood could never have done what she did. She is a warm and lovely person. I understand that for many people relationships with realtors are transactional. You want to sell your house and want somebody to buy it. But selling a house is also a very intimate and intrusive activity. The realtor is in the house, is telling you which of your treasured possessions has to go into storage, and comes by at all times, day or night. It is much better to work with a realtor who is a warm and caring person, who can not only sell your house but do so in a way that recognizes the emotions and stress that go with selling a house. Deirdre has the ideal personality for that work, warm, funny, caring, serious but not overly serious. Working with Deirdre made the entire process very easy. I hope to not have to sell another house, ever, but if I do I will absolutely work with Deirdre. And I recommend her to everybody. "
