Diana Blackman, a Dallas native, enjoys her role in The Blackman Group as a "Search Specialist"--because she loves nothing more than finding the right fit for her clients when it comes to neighborhoods, schools, commute, etc. In working with buyers, Diana is in constant pursuit of hip pockets and other off-market opportunities, which she sees as so important in this competitive real estate moment. In her work with sellers, Diana works most frequently alongside Chris, and is particularly involved in preparing properties to go to market by implementing the staging touches that will make a home show itself to best advantage. Whether working with buyers or sellers, Diana knows that listening to her clients and making communication the cornerstone of the relationship is key to creating great home-buying and selling experiences.
Diana is very involved in the community, serving on the board of the Friends of the SMU Libraries and as a member of the Highland Park Community League. Diana is also a grandparent volunteer at Hyer Elementary, serving each month in the cafeteria. And Diana is the 2023-24 president of SMU's oldest social club, Town & Gown. Diana also likes to stay in motion! An indoor cycling ("spin") instructor at the Moody Park Cities YMCA for 15+ years, Diana also enjoys running, and you may see her running around White Rock Lake or anywhere around town while training for her next marathon.
Diana has a couple of areas of specialization, working frequently with first-time homebuyers to navigate the home-buying process, as well as being certified as a Real Estate Specialist for Seniors. In addition, Diana completed her Historic Home Specialist certification through Preservation Dallas. While she loves contemporary homes as well, Diana has a passion for homes and neighborhoods with a history (like the 1928 Tudor she shares with Chris), which she writes about in a monthly newsletter that also covers market trends and Diana's tips on favorite restaurants and experiences.
