Diana Grotheer

Known as a good listener with a sharp eye for detail and high aesthetic standards, Diana Grotheer made the leap to real estate after many years in the legal world. She brings with her a natural aptitude for going through small print with a fine-tooth comb, and genuinely enjoys numbers and negotiations, puzzles and logistics.

Diana entered the real estate business at a boutique brokerage firm, working closely with individual investors and across luxury sales. Her independent advisory practice at Compass now offers discerning buyers and sellers direct access to her targeted consulting and brokerage services throughout New York City, specializing in Brooklyn and Manhattan, with referrals nationwide. Knowledgeable in the city’s high-end condominiums, new developments, classic co-ops, and townhouses, Diana excels at communication, analysis and collaboration. 

A native New Yorker, Diana grew up in Cobble Hill, and spent part of her childhood living abroad in London. She attended The Brearley School on Manhattan's Upper East Side, and Oberlin College. In her spare time Diana can be found at live music shows, art museums, trying new restaurants, cooking at home, and walking her dog Banjo in Fort Greene Park.
