We recently sold our second house during the pandemic. We interviewed several top agents who sell houses in our neighborhood. Although Dominique doesn’t sell houses exclusively in our neighborhood, her presentation was more professional, detailed and thorough than the other agents. We originally planned to put the house on the market in May and decided to move it up to March when news of the pandemic broke. Dominique quickly responded; staging the house, scheduling the photographers, and putting the house on the market a week and a half later. We were thrilled with the staging and the photography. Our recent experience speaks volumes about Dominique’s excellence. In short, our home had been on the market for 7 months, with numerous open houses that did not result in an offer, before we decided to hire Dominique. After that, the momentum shifted. Dominique conducted a detailed and comprehensive market evaluation, after which she generated a strategic plan for putting the house back on the market. This included her recommendations for meaningful and reasonable updates to the property and a creative and practical marketing approach. Second, she will do what is needed in a timely and professional way, but then she will go the extra mile for you. This was evident in the way she approached everything she did for us, including keeping us regularly apprised of recent house sales/data, well beyond the initial valuation process, reaching out to give us detailed updates on every part of the process, and being available, if needed, well beyond traditional working hours.
Third, she is creative and thinks outside the box. For instance, she thought our house would look particularly beautiful at night, and asked if she could market the house, in part, with a photo of it at night. This night photo was lovely, and several neighbors remarked on it to us directly (as Dominique had sent postcards of our house to our neighbors). She also had the idea of decorating it virtually (we were no longer living in the house when she came on board, so there was no furniture in it). So, she worked with a designer to choose furniture that would look great in the space and would be visible to those looking at our home online. Instead of seeing empty rooms, online viewers viewed beautiful and stylish furniture that looked like they were made for the spaces.
Fourth, she knows well the neighborhoods in which she sells and cares deeply about them, including our rather unique neighborhood, Carderock Springs. This knowledge and care inform her work, and we knew that she understood the special offerings of living in our neighborhood, well beyond our house.
Fifth, she is a great coach. While she has been working in real estate for decades, she has a degree in social work and she is highly emotionally (and otherwise) intelligent. You will no doubt benefit from her noteworthy ability to connect, empathize, and counsel you, when you feel like you need it.

"Dominique is wonderful and I recommend her for both buyers and sellers without reservation. She's the perfect combination of smart and knowledgeable, calm and pragmatic, but you always know that she's working to get the best result for you, the client. She's so easy to work with -- she's responsive, personable, and really genuine; you never feel like she's just trying to get the deal done, but that she's really looking out for you. She was also great about understanding who we were as buyers and sellers -- what sort of things were important to us, how to keep us calm when things got stressful, etc. And she gave straight-up, practical advice when needed, but also understood when to back off, or when to just accept our idiosyncrasies.
