"It was a blessing running into Emily in the elevator after I lost my dear uncle in NY who lived in the same building that Emily does. "Daoud Heidami & Emily Ackerman are an amazing duo. When I started working with Daoud, I didn't initially realize that I would also have the wonderful benefit of having Emily as part of my team. I'm a first time home buyer, so I had an endless list of questions. Daoud and Emily were both extremely patient and thoughtfully answered all of them. If there was ever something one of them didn't know the answer to, they'd quickly find out and get back to me. I never, ever had to chase them or follow up on outstanding items. Responsiveness is one of their strengths, which made the process really manageable because I truly felt like I was being taken care of, and that they had my best interests at heart. And no detail - in any part of the process - was ever overlooked.
Daoud and Emily also communicate extremely well - not with me as the client, but also with each other. If one of them was unavailable, they would make sure to coordinate and make sure one of them was available when needed. Strong communication is so important purchasing a home because there are so many moving parts, and so many different parties involved. They did a great job of keeping the process moving forward, and steering the ship in the right direction. One of the biggest challenges I've heard from friends and others going through the same process is getting the lawyers, brokers, lenders and all parties involved on the same page and holding everyone accountable.
