Ed Lynch has been involved in Marin real estate since the early 1980’s when he started buying real estate at the early age of 19. Over the next 10 years, Ed remodeled and developed numerous properties in Marin County. While serving as a professional firefighter in Tiburon, Ed oversaw the construction of the downtown Tiburon Fire Station and complete renovation of the substation as well as managing day to day operations of the department serving the communities of Tiburon and Belvedere.

In the early 90’s Ed became a mortgage banker in Marin County with First Security Loan followed by RPM Mortgage in Mill Valley. Over the last two decades Ed has built a reputation as a highly-respected loan consultant with a can do, will do attitude. Having been involved from both the lending side and as a buyer and seller of numerous properties Ed has developed a keen sense of knowledge and respect for what todays buyers and sellers experience in a real estate transaction. In Ed’s words “buying or selling a house is something an average person may do a few times in their life and hiring the right people to represent and guide them through the process is the most critical aspect of the transaction.”

Having served 35 years in the fire service (26 years as a Chief Officer) Ed was involved in strategic planning, critical incident response, personnel development, large scale incident management and day to day operations.

With deep roots in Marin County and active in the community, Ed is currently Vice President of the Tiburon Peninsula Foundation and recently served as Commodore of The San Francisco Yacht Club. Bringing his decades of experience in mortgage banking and fire service, Ed has developed a personal skill set that is ideally beneficial to the real estate industry and Pacific Union International now Compass.
