About John
John Hickey was born and raised in Santa Cruz County, growing up in the wonderful communities of Corralitos and La Selva Beach. After graduating Aptos High he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business with a concentration in Marketing from the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Afterward John worked in the financial industry in San Francisco, for both Franklin-Templeton Mutual Funds and Charles Schwab & Co, while attending night school to obtain a Master of Business Administration degree from San Francisco State University. John now resides in Pleasant Valley with his wife and three young sons. John believes in a “hands-on” approach as the broker associate of Monterey Bay Properties. He enjoys the challenges of the complexities of the real estate business as well as being involved in the synergistic environment produced by great agents. John Hickey served as the Santa Cruz County Association of REALTORS® President in 2013 and is currently serving on the board of directors of MLSlistings, Inc.
