If you are selling or buying a home in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area and you do not hire The Sisters Sold It (Eileen Allan and Shannon Assad), then just become a Ravens fan, move to Cleveland, and stop eating chipped ham, because this real estate team is something the entire region should be proud of, and should rely on. In my fifty years of adult life, I have dealt with all manners of professionals (legal, medical, real estate) and have never been as impressed with nor as successful with any of them as I have been with Eileen and Shannon. From top to bottom, they excelled at every single aspect of our home sale, and more. Even if you do not want to buy or sell a home, you should consider doing so, just so you can hire these two.
I mean it. They got us the best deal possible at the earliest possible time and while more than accommodating us on every single aspect of the home sale, as well as several others that are not normally considered part of the deal. When we could not move in yet, Shannon took the bit in her teeth and got us a tenant and shepherded the whole process through with our unbelievable inept property management company. When we had a tenant later who was essentially the Mayor or Crazy Town, Eileen put on her psychotherapist hat and calmly got us through the process of showing the house while that tenant was still in the house and on the verge of causing a problem.
Eileen immediately understood the special value and unique appeal of the home. Even better, the home had appreciated in value quite a bit since we had purchased it, and instead of low-balling us to get a sale, she understood immediately what it was worth. She put it on āprivate exclusiveā sale but still prepared for listing it and selling it publicly. She found us an excellent contractor to repair the damage done by our loopy final tenant. She went to the house to let in repairmen. She found us a cleaner. She collected the keys and remotes from the tenant. She was literally a full-service shop. When an offer came in that was close to what we might accept but included too many weird contingencies, she counseled against selling, even though there was a commission in it for her.
And then she found and brought in a cash, āas isā contract at what was the actual value of the home, and she did so before we had to show the home, fix it, or list it. Her market analysis had agreed with our assessment, that the house had doubled in value in six years, and she did not flinch. I have never known a real estate agent who would not have tried to lower our accurate expectations (even though they would have been wrong in doing so.) And as I said, she also did everything else, above and beyond. I write for a living, and I look back on this experience with Eileen and Shannon and it was so positive, I keep thinking I must have made it up. I could not have made it up. It was too perfect.
And at all times, Eileen and Shannon were pleasant, professional, brilliant, low key, understanding, engaging, helpful, calmly relentless, and comprehensive in their approach. Hire the Sisters Sold It. Do it now. You wonāt regret it. - Gerald Weaver
