About Ellen
Ellen has lived and worked throughout the DC area for over thirty years, and she's proud to call the DMV home. She has a deep knowledge of the city's neighborhoods and the surrounding suburbs. She uses her client-first attitude and straightforward approach to make deals happen. She's successfully built a referral-based business by giving exceptional service to each and every client.
Ellen is a member of District Property Group at Compass. The award-winning team is active in buying and selling, but also has diverse real estate knowledge in development, property management, and leasing.
In addition to real estate, Ellen is construction and renovation savvy, having managed multiple projects, including serving as the general contractor for an addition to her own home. She's obtained building permits, hired & supervised subcontractors, managed construction budgets, and purchased all sorts of building materials.
Ellenās a pro at top-notch customer service, skills she honed in an earlier career working with major donors at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. She put her strategic thinking, attention to detail, and people skills together to build a volunteer board of Americaās top corporate CEOs. In addition to being a theater fan, sheās an avid runner and swimmer, having competed in marathons and swims across the Chesapeake Bay.
