About Ellen
Over the last thirty years, Ellen has lived and worked across the city, from Capitol Hill to Bethesda and the neighborhoods between, including Logan Circle, Foggy Bottom, DuPont Circle, Woodley Park, Cathedral Heights, Friendship Heights, and Chevy Chase. She’s now focused on meeting the real estate needs of clients in the District, Maryland, and Virginia.

Ellen is a member of District Property Group at Compass. The award-winning team is active in buying and selling, but also has diverse real estate knowledge in development, property management, and leasing.

In addition to real estate, Ellen is construction and renovation savvy, having managed multiple projects, including serving as the general contractor for an addition to her own home.  She's obtained building permits, hired & supervised subcontractors, managed construction budgets, and purchased all sorts of building materials.

Ellen’s a pro at top-notch customer service, having spent ten years at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts working with major donors. She put her strategic thinking, attention to detail, and people skills together to build a board of America’s top corporate CEOs and a successful fundraising campaign. In addition to being a theater fan, she’s an avid runner and swimmer, having competed in marathons and swims across the Chesapeake Bay.
