Working as a team since 2008, and with combined experience of over 41 years, real estate professionals Ellen Saland and Nina Hennessey have earned a stellar reputation as top brokers throughout the city, having sold in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.

While Ellen and Nina have known each other years — they met while they were stage performers cast in the same show — they kept their real estate careers separate until the opportunity to pitch a major listing together came along. "During that initial listing, we learned that we work together extraordinarily well," Nina recalls. "We had an immediate and organic understanding of collaboration. We both have a shared work ethic, shared values and a strong sense of what's fair. We were able to maintain respect for each other and for our friendship, and most importantly, we really liked working together!"

Ellen and Nina strive to understand exactly what each individual buyer or seller needs for their unique situation and are committed to standing by clients as long as it takes. "We are happy to be an emotional support for our buyers and sellers," Ellen explains. Where Nina is exceptionally detail-oriented, Ellen likes to work at a quick, efficient pace. As Nina sums up, "We are passionate about being the best we can be on behalf of our buyers and sellers. Residential real estate is very emotional territory. Coming from theater backgrounds, we are adamant about keeping the drama on the stage — not in the transaction."

Ellen lives in a co-op the Upper West Side with her husband and has three children. Nina also lives in a co-op on the Upper West Side with her husband and has two children.
