Ellie Sanders

Ellie became a licensed REALTOR® in 2016 and has since built a significant, primarily residential real estate practice in the New Orleans area. She specializes in listing, selling, and leasing properties in the city’s historic neighborhoods as well as outlying suburbs from River Ridge to Arabi, and all neighborhoods in between. Known for her calm guidance, deep market knowledge, and meticulous attention to detail, Ellie has earned a reputation for delivering truly “best-in-class” service to her clients.

Earlier in her real estate career, Ellie professionally managed a luxury apartment building, an experience that helped her develop an invaluable network of trusted vendors, contractors, and service providers—resources she now leverages daily on behalf of her buyers, sellers, and landlords.

In 2026, Ellie joined Compass Real Estate’s Garden District office, drawn to the firm’s innovative marketing, cutting-edge technology, and unmatched national and global reach. She saw Compass as the right platform for long-term growth and expanded opportunity, allowing her to better serve her clients while elevating her business.

Ellie has been consistently recognized as a top producer by New Orleans Magazine and CityBusiness.  She holds the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation and the Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) certification and has sold and leased nearly $90 million throughout her career to date, spanning nearly 400 transactions.

A New Orleans native, Ellie is a graduate of the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. She spent two years as a digital project manager at Trumpet Advertising and, prior to that, seven years in New York City working in client services at About.com—experience that continues to shape her communication style and client-first approach.

Outside of real estate, Ellie enjoys tennis, strolling down Magazine Street with friends, and spending time with her niece and nephews—whom she happily spoils. She is a volunteer with Take Paws Rescue and recently welcomed a black lab named Bandit into her life. When there’s an opportunity for a break in her work schedule, you can find her relaxing on the bluff overlooking Perdido Bay.
