Elsa Medhin

Elsa Medhin is an award-winning TV Host, seasoned marketing professional, and passionate real estate agent who brings a dynamic skill set to her clients across the DMV. Known to audiences as "Elsa M.," she has spent more than two decades mastering every facet of media — from television, radio, and podcasts to print, social media, and brand marketing. Having hosted a long-running daily TV show highlighting the best of Maryland, Elsa developed an intimate knowledge of the region's neighborhoods, architecture, and communities. Her love for real estate was a natural extension of her work, leading her to study market trends, home design, and the intricacies of buying and selling property for years before officially launching her real estate career. 

Elsa’s unique background gives her clients a distinct advantage. Drawing from her marketing expertise — honed during her time at Yelp, where she helped personalize the brand and grow local engagement years before and after the company’s IPO — Elsa knows exactly how to position and showcase properties to attract maximum attention. She applies the same principles of storytelling, brand-building, and strategic promotion to every home she represents, ensuring that each listing stands out in a competitive market. 

As a proud transplant to the DMV and devoted mother, Elsa is passionate about helping families and new residents find homes that perfectly match their needs and dreams. She takes a highly personalized approach with every client, combining her creativity, market knowledge, and communication skills to deliver a memorable and seamless experience. 

A Wisconsin native and graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Elsa has earned numerous professional accolades, including an Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Spot News, four Emmy nominations, The National Press Foundation’s “Why Journalism Matters” award, and the Ralph O. Nafziger Award for Excellence in Journalism. She was also named one of Baltimore’s “40 Under 40” by the Baltimore Business Journal and Living Classrooms. Elsa was additionally recognized by Addis Life Magazine as one of the “40 Ethiopians Under 40 Changing the World,” and proudly holds the distinction of being the first Ethiopian-American TV Reporter/Anchor in the United States — a milestone that carries special meaning given the vibrant Ethiopian community in the DMV area that she now calls home. 

Elsa currently lives in Bethesda and loves everything Montgomery County has to offer. In her free time, she enjoys orangetheory and solidcore workouts, fencing, hiking, kayaking, reading, and painting.
