Emily Benito is a San Diego Realtor and trusted real estate advisor with Compass, helping established families choose the right neighborhood and make smart, strategic moves into homes that better fit the life they are building.
Emily moved to San Diego from Los Angeles in 2006, trading the hustle of LA for the coastal lifestyle she had always wanted. As her own life changed, so did what she needed from a home. Her experience moving from coastal city living into the San Diego suburbs gives her a personal understanding of the tradeoffs families consider when they want more space, quieter streets, and room to grow without giving up the San Diego lifestyle they love.
Specializing in San Diego suburbs and La Mesa real estate, Emily’s primary markets include Clairemont, University City, Bay Park, Point Loma, Del Cerro, La Mesa, and Mount Helix. She helps clients compare neighborhoods based on lifestyle, location, commute, home values, and how far their budget will go, so they can identify where their everyday life will fit best.
With a background in financial services and more than 30 years of combined business experience, Emily brings an advisory approach to real estate. Her clients are often navigating much more than a home search. They may be deciding whether to buy before selling, comparing financing options, relocating to San Diego, preparing for a competitive purchase, or coordinating a purchase and sale at the same time.
Emily helps her clients think through neighborhood tradeoffs, timing, buying power, market conditions, negotiation strategy, and the financial impact of each decision before they commit. First licensed in 1998, she began her real estate career in Woodland Hills, California, and returned to the industry full-time in 2021.
Known for honest advice and clear strategy, Emily does more than help families find a house. She helps them create a plan and make a confident real estate decision that supports their lifestyle, finances, and long-term goals.
A proud boy mom and San Diego suburbs resident, Emily enjoys morning walks, hot yoga, boating on the bay, and finding great local spots for coffee, brunch, and dinner with a view.
