For almost two decades, Gene Keyser has helped clients navigate the fast-paced real estate landscape of New York City. He’s gained a reputation for his hands-on, disciplined approach. From finance to architecture, his deep understanding of NYC’s unique market ensures his clients come out on top when selling their homes, and when buying the next one.

Gene moved to New York City from the Boston area to attend Columbia University, focusing his studies on physics, structural design/architecture, and economics. Upon completing his education, Gene pursued a career in the securities industry and took a position as a discretionary trader with an innovative Wall Street firm.

For the next 10 years, he applied his acumen to capitalize on momentum swings and price imbalances, consistently delivering strong returns on investment. The grit of the financial markets teaches foresight, creative planning, and to mitigate stress with wit. He brings these qualities to the table when advising sellers how much they should ask, and guiding buyers on what they should bid. In taking an advisory approach, Gene upholds strict fiduciary standards for his clients' best interests, maintains sight of their individual lifestyle and budgetary needs, and makes an often daunting experience feel achievable.

On par with his expertise in guiding people through major financial decisions is the capacity to identify opportunities in the city’s most dynamic neighborhoods. Perhaps Gene’s strongest asset is the ability to extensively diagnose a property’s attributes and maximum market value –- whether it’s a primary home, an investment, or a development site. Thus, buyers are positioned for long term appreciation while mitigating near term risk, and owners are postured to reap gains from a top of the market sale.

In 2014, Gene Keyser was honored with the distinction of being named New York Residential Specialist by the Real Estate Board of New York for his experience and accomplishments as an agent and for demonstrating the highest moral and ethical standards. Concerned about the environment and sustainability, Gene is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP).

When he is not working, Gene likes to go on adventures with his kids and the dog. He loves movies, exploring the outdoors, and checking out that new restaurant in the hot neighborhood you’ve never been to.
