Ghita is deeply committed to giving back and supporting nonprofits and charitable organizations that make a meaningful impact in her community. Most recently she was a member of the first board of directors for the Gigis Playhouse in Deerfield (down syndrome achievement centers). She is also a current co-president of the Gigis Playhouse youthboard and teentastic program. Over the years she has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, Literacy Volunteers of America and Orphans of the Storm.  All organizations near and dear to her heart.

Ghita has also teamed up with Licensed Real Estate Broker, Helene DeMarco Ventrella, to offer the North and Northwestern suburbs of Chicago a Senior Transition Program. This program provides solutions for seniors and their families who are navigating downsizing, probate home sales and/or senior living transitions. Our goal is to make this process seamless, supported and deeply personal for all Seniors and their families.

A lifelong Illinois resident, Ghita has lived and worked in Lake, Kane and Cook Counties and now resides in Indian Creek along with her two daughters, two dogs and 3 cats (chickens might be coming soon). She joined Compass, the #1 brokerage in the United States for sales volume, in 2025.
