Throughout my career, real estate has become a natural and rewarding path. After purchasing, renovating, and selling many of my own homes, and helping others do the same, I transitioned into the industry full-time. With over 20 years of experience in Hawaii’s residential real estate market, I have developed extensive knowledge of our neighborhoods, diverse cultures, and the unique dynamics of island living.
I specialize in Shoreline Properties and Second Homes and have built strong working relationships with Hawaii’s expert Land Planners and Coastal Engineers. This allows me to guide clients through the complexities of city, county, and state regulations with confidence. As a certified Home Stager, I bring a creative edge to preparing properties for market, often incorporating my own art to help homes stand out.
As part of The Bailey Group Hawai'i, my goal is to make every real estate experience comfortable, informed, and fulfilling. I enjoy working with investors, seniors, and their families, and I appreciate the unique story behind every transaction. Originally from the East Coast, my husband and I followed our love for warm weather and beach life to Oahu in 1988. We quickly fell in love with the island lifestyle and Hawai‘i’s rich cultural diversity, where we established roots and raised our family. We still spend part of the year back East with family and friends, holding onto our love for the New England coast.
Creativity has always been a driving force in my life. I earned a degree in Fine Arts and continued my studies in Graphic Design, Photography, Early Childhood Education, and Business Management. This diverse background led to roles as an art teacher, graphic artist, and even a bartender. Eventually, I launched my own business, Gina Overton Designs, specializing in logo design, print advertising, and a hand-painted clothing and accessories line, “Designs by GiGi.” Today, I focus mainly on acrylic painting, taking commissions as well as donating my pieces to worthy fundraisers.
When I am not working with clients or exploring interesting properties, you will find me in my art studio painting, swimming or surfing in the ocean, tending to my flower gardens, wine tasting, traveling, or enjoying time with family and friends.
