Gloria Darke

With over 40 years in real estate, Gloria Darke has witnessed and thrived in many market changes. She has seen the one-page contract expand to the present-fifteen pages; listing and selling properties in an 18% interest rate environment; Black Monday; the dot com bubble burst; 9/11; the 2008 banking crisis; the current pandemic. Through all of this Gloria has successfully navigated the challenges and advised and steered her clients. She loves what she does.

After graduating cum laude from the University of Minnesota, she settled in California and began the career she always knew she wanted. In 2000 her daughter Caitlin left successful careers at Arthur Anderson and Schwab Investments and joined her. Caitlin’s in-depth knowledge of technology-enabled the Darke Team to flourish in the real estate market, increasingly relying on technology. The pair have consistently been one of the top performers in their company as well as rated by the Wall Street Journal as top agents. Interviewed on CNBC about emerging from the 2008 market turmoil, Gloria said, “Through all the ups and downs, real estate remains strong. People always come back to real estate.”

The Darke Team has worked with some of Silicon Valley’s high-profile movers and shakers, including venture capitalists, attorneys, and company founders. Some of the most rewarding transactions are with families buying their first homes.
