"Gus was such a pleasure to work with, he was attentive, communicative, responsive, very well informed and he kept us in the loop every step of the process. He made solid recommendations on what to take care of before selling and what wasn't necessary to work on. He followed through on everything through the entire process and I couldn't recommend him more. He made the whole process very easy for us."

"We just bought our first home with Gus. From the start, he was very open and responsive to our needs. We never felt pressured in any decision making and he ensured he gave us all the possible options. He is very knowledgeable and when he comes across something he does not know, he is eager to figure it out himself and also direct us to make sure we get a response. We enjoyed the whole process of looking for a home to going through escrow and closing. He has become a family friend over the process and loved him as our realtor. Definitely recommend him!"

"The best real estate agent ever. Very knowledgeable about his trade and the market. He is there for you when you need him. He responds to every call or text msg. He goes beyond his duties to get things done on time with no stress or worries. We had an amazing experience buying our house with him. And he has an incredible team of people that he works with that are truly kind and professional just like him. We highly recommend him to all our friends and family."- Elias

"I expected the home buying process to be extremely stressful and time consuming, but with Gus's help it wasn't. He was always responsive, patient with questions/concerns, and calm about any unforeseen issues that arose. He was great to work with!" - Sara

"Being a past agent and broker myself, I understand the level of detail and attention that an agent should have when it comes to purchasing a property. I can say without a doubt that Gus is a top notch agent. He made the process easy and was consistently available during each step of the purchase. We ran into issues with the listing agent, but Gus was calm and collected the entire time while getting past the challenges. He made sure to do everything in his power to ensure a fast close. 27 days and the home was ours! Do yourself a favor and hire Gus as your agent. You’ll be happy that you did!"

About Gustavo
Hello, I’m Gustavo. I’m a regular guy from SoCal who makes his living helping families buy, sell, and invest in real estate. I consider myself the luckiest person on earth. I didn’t win the lottery, I don’t drive a fancy car, and I’m not famous. What I do have is a beautiful wife, a loving family, awesome friends, and a line of work that allows me to help folks realize their real-estate dreams.

Speaking of real estate, I just love it. I can’t stop talking about it, looking at it, buying it and/or selling it. I’ve spoken to other real estate agents, and it seems many don’t even preview homes unless they’re invoicing someone. But that’s just not me. Instead, I’m always trying to learn a better way to buy or sell property, and for the best possible price. It’s not about rushing the customer, but about our reaching a goal together.

How did I get here? I used to have a corporate job, which I really enjoyed. I served as Vice President of Recruitment for a Fortune 500 Bank, and I loved the line of work. I had no plans to leave, but there are still things you can’t control (like the economy); in 2008, I was laid off with 8,000 other employees. My bank, and many others, closed their doors, and opportunities in the field of recruitment were bleak.

Getting laid off is weird. One day you think everything’s fine — and the next? You don’t know what you’re supposed to do. Instead of feeling bad, I decided to take control of the situation and follow my passion.

It turns out that being downsized was the best thing to ever happen to me professionally. Without being tied to a nine-to-five job, I’ve been able to have a lucrative career in real estate AND more flexible hours, allowing me to spend time with my family and travel, while I pursue my passion for property investing.

Nothing in a life — or career — goes to waste. My formal education in social psychology (I earned my B.A. from UCLA), along with my extensive experience in recruiting executives, gives me a strong foundation for helping clients navigate turning points. For most, changing jobs can be as — or more — stressful than moving. Realizing this has taught me two very valuable lessons.

First, always tell the truth. Clients might not like it, but that doesn’t change facts. Knowing the reality of the market, the value of your home, and the best strategy for buying, selling or investing in property will help you make the best decisions for you and your family.

Second, communication helps your customer. Whether you’re a first home buyer or a real-estate veteran, having all the information can help you keep your stress level low, while you focus on your goal: buying your dream home, investing in your next property, or getting top dollar for your home.

If you’ve read this far, then let me offer you a huge “Thanks!” I would be honored to chat with you about real estate. Call me, let’s talk.
