Born and raised in Los Angeles, Haya's knowledge of the city spans the breadth of the sprawling metropolis. Her keen insights into everything from neighborhoods, schools, architecture, and restaurants to all-important traffic shortcuts can only be gleaned from a lifetime's worth of experience.

Haya brings an impressive background to her real estate career, as she is a licensed attorney with more than 20 years of experience negotiating deals of all sizes. Not only does she have countless contacts in the community, but her legal background ensures that her clients' real estate transactions are thoroughly negotiated, documented and reviewed at the highest level of professionalism.

After attending local public schools and graduating summa cum laude from UCLA, Haya attended Yale School of Law, returning to Los Angeles after graduation to start a successful career as an attorney and business affairs executive in the television industry, working for such high profile companies as Fox, The Walt Disney Company, and A+E Networks. During this same period, Haya developed her real estate management and renovation skills, remodeling and managing several apartment buildings in the Santa Monica area, as well as personal residences on the Westside.

Meanwhile, Haya's husband Gary Barkin, also an attorney, was developing a thriving legal practice and an independent residential real estate brokerage, L.A. Realty and Design. Originally started to facilitate real estate transactions for Gary's legal clients and colleagues, L.A. Realty and Design soon grew so busy that Haya decided to dedicate herself to working full time at her husband's brokerage. With the incredible growth of their business, the L.A. Realty and Design Group affiliated with Gibson International, now part of Compass, ensuring that the best in marketing, technology and sophisticated data collection would be available to their ever-growing list of satisfied clients.

Haya currently lives in Brentwood with Gary and their sons.
