About Heather
Heather Burns is a seasoned real estate professional, having specialized in residential sales in Manhattan and Brooklyn for the last 17 years. Heather is thrilled to now be working at Compass after more than 16 years at another top NYC firm. She is energized by the positive and supportive, "can-do" culture at Compass and the ability to grow her skill set and enhance her clients' experience by utilizing Compass' forward-thinking technology and market insights. Heather is a long-time member of the Zweben Team, having worked with Paul and Carolyn Zweben since she began her real estate career in 2008, making Paul and Carolyn more like family than colleagues. The award-winning Zweben Team is a consistently top-ranked team both citywide and internationally.

A perfectionist at heart, Heather's clients know that she always has their best interests at heart and will work tirelessly and cheerfully to make sure that each step of the process is handled carefully and thoughtfully to make this sometimes stressful sales or purchase transaction as seamless and stress-free as possible. She takes pride in not just "getting it done" but making sure it is done right the first time.

Heather's naturally outgoing and friendly personality has helped her build a useful professional network of other top brokers, managing agents, attorneys, and mortgage brokers. These relationships have proven immensely important and at times have given her and her clients the edge that has helped to secure properties and smooth over common issues that can occur during a real estate transaction.

Heather graduated Magna Cum Laude from Adelphi University and went on to do graduate work at Fordham University and the University of Michigan studying Medieval Art and Architectural History. Before beginning her real estate career, she worked at several museums throughout the city including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Brooklyn Museum and as an educator and docent at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine. More recently, she and her husband owned and operated St. Gambrinus Beer Shoppe, a bar and bottle shop in downtown Brooklyn, adjacent to the Barclay Center, which was a local craft beer destination from 2013-2022.

Heather lives with her husband in Brooklyn. A self-proclaimed "foodie", her favorite ways to spend her free time are cooking and baking, dining out, traveling, petting dogs, and practicing yoga.
