Heather Rynearson is a San Diego REALTOR® with Compass who has been helping buyers and sellers navigate the San Diego real estate market since 2016.

Her connection to San Diego, however, started long before real estate.

Originally from New Jersey, Heather relocated to San Diego more than 17 years ago without knowing the city, its neighborhoods, or where she would ultimately want to put down roots. She had to figure it all out from scratch, before social media made it possible to research a city through your phone and before free turn-by-turn navigation made getting around a new place effortless.

That experience has stayed with her and gives Heather a firsthand understanding of what it's like to move somewhere completely new. Choosing a home is only part of the decision. Understanding which neighborhood fits your lifestyle, commute, budget, and priorities can be just as important.

Heather's relocation experience also extends well beyond her own move. She has also worked with a relocation company assisting individuals and families moving to the San Diego area, including international clients relocating from Canada, Europe, and Asia. That experience gave her an even deeper understanding of the questions, logistics, and uncertainty that can come with starting over in a new city.

Today, Heather represents buyers, sellers, investors, first-time homebuyers, and clients relocating to San Diego from across California, throughout the United States, and internationally. She has experience helping people make the move from markets including the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, New Jersey, and beyond.

Her approach is straightforward: give clients good information, honest advice, strong representation, and the local knowledge they need to make confident decisions.

For buyers, that means looking beyond the listing itself. Heather helps her clients understand neighborhoods, property values, market conditions, HOA and condo considerations, inspections, contracts, and negotiation strategy. Her goal isn't simply to help someone buy a home, but to help them make a decision that makes sense for their life and their long-term goals.

For sellers, Heather takes a strategic approach to pricing, positioning, marketing, and negotiation. She understands that successfully selling a home requires more than putting it on the MLS. It requires understanding the market, anticipating how buyers will respond to a property, and knowing when and how to adjust the strategy.

After more than 17 years of living in San Diego and a decade working in San Diego real estate, Heather brings both personal and professional perspective to every transaction. She has experience across San Diego County and with a wide range of properties, from condos and townhomes to single-family homes, investment properties, and luxury real estate.
