Horacio Oliveira

He is a Brazilian native who fell in love with the United States during his first visit to New York. After only six months, decided to stay and work, starting his career in the hospitality business as a waiter at his uncle’s restaurant. From there, he continued to develop skills, working as a bartender and eventually becoming a manager and then a GM. He also learned English, Spanish and Italian. After some time he moved to Miami to be close to his son and that’s when he realized that Miami was his true home. With its vibrant Latin culture and with its potential to grow and become a Latin metropolis, he felt that he had finally found a place where he could truly thrive. His entrepreneurial spirit and ability to get along with people, led him to open his first restaurant, a small deli. From there, he continued to build success, opening a few restaurants, creating new concepts and menus. The COVID-19 pandemic forced him to pivot to consulting work in the hospitality industry. However, this new challenge led him to realize that his skills could be applied in other areas, such as real estate. With his knowledge of Miami and its neighborhoods, he found himself being quite successful in his new career. Being in Miami for over three decades he knows where the up and coming neighborhoods are and where the good real estate investments could be made. His career is a testament to the power of hard work, perseverance, and adaptability. His journey from waiter to successful hospitality and real estate entrepreneur demonstrates that with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, anything is possible.
