Most recently, he was in the Finance and Construction industry as a consultant, controller, and business owner but the compelling call of representing buyers and sellers along with his love of Denver's modern and vintage homes could no longer be ignored. Ian lives in an 1892 Victorian in the Whittier neighborhood. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of Advocates for Children, he also volunteers for the organization as a court-appointed special advocate for abused and neglected children. When he is not working, he enjoys skiing, biking around Denver, golfing, and taking road trips or traveling, whenever the opportunity presents itself.
