About James

A native of Virginia, James L. Asbury has been in Tampa, FL since 2008. His passion for real estate began five years ago when his love for the City of Tampa evolved into helping others turn their dreams of home ownership here into a reality. James’s interest in understanding the dynamics of the Real Estate market and following trends were a natural segue for him to launch his full-time career as a realtor.

Based on his personal experience, James understands the importance of having a keen partner to navigate the buying or selling of your home. He is dedicated to looking out for your best interests while delivering expert advice that helps you achieve your financial and lifestyle goals.

Before pursuing a career in Real Estate, James served in the United States Army for five years, where he learned the importance of servant leadership and accomplishing strategic goals as a single unit. Through his global experience in the military, James brings the insightful understanding and patience necessary to see long-term goals through. After the military, James worked in sales and logistics for over ten years, during which time he sharpened his knowledge of sales strategy, negotiation, corporate influence, and relationship building.

From his military background, James has a long-standing passion for helping others and serving the community. When he’s not working, James enjoys fishing, golfing, and spending time with family.
