“Jan Schmidt showed me extraordinary analytical, marketing and sales skills in listing and selling my deceased brother’s Philadelphia townhouse. Her keen community awareness and 25 years experience in real estate produced a sales contract in just one day, at a higher-than-advertised sale price. I would unhesitatingly work with her again.” - Ronald Z.
“I know it’s been a while since I sold my house, but getting into my new place is keeping me very busy. Anyway, I wanted to thank you again for all of your help and support as I went through the process of selling my home. You were a friend and a professional. With every challenge, you kept your cool and kept moving forward. You offered sound advice and encouraged me throughout the process. You covered all the bases and were always on top of everything. In the end, I got more than I wanted and I could not be happier. Again, many thanks for all that you did!” - Regine M
“You made the entire process of selling Dorothy's place easy for us and we greatly appreciate all that you did for us. Without your local assistance we would not have been able to settle as quickly as we did!” - Sean and Bev.

After a fulfilling career as a high school English teacher at Cheltenham High School, then creating her own business teaching gourmet cooking at “The Good Cook’s Cooking Class” while all along raising a family on Philadelphia’s Main Line, Jan Schmidt’s life took another turn.
She decided to share her passion for her historic city and its nearby suburban areas by becoming a real estate agent. For the past 25 years, she has been a Sales Agent at Berkshire Hathaway serving two locations where she has been a longtime resident: Center City and the Main Line.
To celebrate her quarter century in real estate, Jan recently joined Compass because of its superior technology and innovative marketing tools.
If buying or selling a home is in your plans, Jan’s extensive knowledge of our local communities in addition to her attention to detail, expertise, negotiating skills and professionalism will make the process a seamless and rewarding experience.
When at her leisure, Jan enjoys the company of her husband, four married children and five grandchildren. She spends as much time as possible walking along the tree-lined streets of the Art Museum Area and strolling amidst the unequaled pleasure garden of Chanticleer in Wayne.
