Jason Thomas is the Principal and Team Lead of The Thomas Group at Compass. Drawing on more than 14 years of experience across real estate, marketing, and business ownership, he advises buyers, sellers, investors, and builders throughout Northern Virginia on some of their most significant real estate decisions.

A Northern Virginia native and graduate of American University, Jason brings a broad perspective shaped by experiences both inside and outside the industry. Before real estate, he played professional basketball in Europe and later served as Director of Advertising Operations at Ripe Digital. Those experiences helped shape the discipline, adaptability, and strategic mindset that continue to guide his work today.

After beginning his career in new construction sales, Jason transitioned into residential real estate, representing clients across luxury residences, investment acquisitions, and custom builds. His approach is grounded in the belief that every client, property, and objective deserves a tailored strategy.
