"This was my second time doing business with Jeffrey; first time as a buyer. We looked at a lot of properties over an extended period of time (5-6 weeks), and ultimately, we got the one that is the best fit for my life and budget--and we got it for a good deal less than what comparables suggested the value is! What I appreciate most about the experience is that he kept working hard for me even while I was under contract on a home. The first home I went under contract on had some very worrying inspection results (e.g. exterior piping issues), that had me second-guessing my purchase decision. However, one of his automatic notifications alerted me to the property we ultimately bought, and he showed it to me within hours. It was a much better house in terms of what I was looking for, and even though it lowered his commission, he was supportive, timely, and strategic (e.g. he got the seller's agent to admit there were no competing offers) in getting an offer in. His commentary on houses we visited throughout was pithy, and he gave me the space I needed to ultimately discover and acquire what it is I really wanted. I always tell friends: "Don't try to buy a house on your own. Work with a highly skilled realtor. They will, with good probability, save you from buying a house that isn't worth the money or a good fit for your life". Not sure how many realtors this statement really applies to, but it definitely applies to Jeffrey. As an aside, my 4-year-old daughter really enjoyed seeing homes with him; and I found the home buying process to be, for the most part, an exciting and educational adventure. I gave Jeffrey the task of securing an offer for rent or purchase of my 6 bedroom Cedar Park property within 2 weeks, and he swiftly obtained competitive offers on both fronts. His preparation and marketing of the property was superb. He coordinated pre-listing repairs and painting jobs; he got one of the top staging companies to stage the home within just a week of calling their owner (they were booked weeks out, but he got us worked in); he personally did work on the house to ensure the property exuded the price point we were targeting (e.g. he broke down and removed a small shed in the yard that was an eyesore); and he effectively marketed the house through all the standard online and community channels, and more. His extensive knowledge of home building and maintenance definitely came in handy in setting expectations with our contractors and maintenance folks.
We quickly received a cash offer on the home, and he diligently saw the deal through to closing within 2 weeks. After the buyer's inspection, the buyer made significant repair requests. "Jeffrey Schnabel is phenomenal! He was referred through a few coworkers who have used him in the past, and he did not disappoint. My favorite part about working with Jeffrey was his complete transparency throughout the process. He would never tell you if you should or should not purchase a home, but he would make sure you had all the facts about the home before you made a decision. For example, early on in the house hunting process, I fell in love with a house that had everything I wanted and was within my budget. I contacted Jeffrey asking if we should put an offer in on the home and if it was a good buy. After researching, he quickly got back to me to explain that home was in a floodplain and would require flood insurance (as well as living with the possibility of the house flooding). Jeffrey said he could do further research if I was still interested, but after learning how much more costly it would be to have the insurance, I decided to pass on the house.
