About Jeffrey
Through one of the hardest times in my life, I found strength through the support of those around me. Reflecting on my life, I recognized that true fulfillment for me is helping, supporting and empowering others.
In 2018, my life took an unexpected turn when I was involved in a car accident. The impact left me facing not only the physical aftermath but also the emotional toll of navigating through surgeries and recovery. It was a period of uncertainty, a time when I had to confront the fragility of life and the challenges that come with unexpected events like this.
As I grappled with the aftermath of the accident, life threw another curveball my way. A routine checkup following the accident revealed a melanoma tumor in the back of my left eye. The diagnosis marked the beginning of a battle against cancer, demanding strength and resilience beyond what I had ever imagined. Navigating through surgeries, treatments and the uncertainty of a cancer diagnosis required not only physical endurance but also a mental fortitude that I hadn't known I possessed. My family, including my children, Noah and Rachel, my mom, my brother, Kenn, and my best friend, Susan, played an indispensable role in providing unwavering support throughout these trying times. Their presence and encouragement became my anchor, reminding me that when it comes down to it, family is always my priority and driving force in life.
Amidst these trying times, a silver lining emerged-an opportunity to reevaluate my life and professional trajectory. Real estate has always been a passion of mine, influenced by my background and childhood experiences. Growing up as the youngest of three boys, where my parents owned several drug stores, weekends were spent working alongside my family in the stores. This exposure to sales and retail became ingrained in me and influenced my career choices.
After college, where I majored in marketing and management, I worked for several renowned luxury retailers, including Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren and Ermenegildo Zegna. Despite accumulating extensive experience, I have always held a fascination for real estate. The allure of exploring New York's buildings and lobbies, coupled with the desire for a change, prompted me to get my real estate license in 2002.
For me, the journey through cancer and surgeries brought about a profound sense of gratitude for life's simple joys, to live authentically and to focus on what truly matters. This intense period of my life became a catalyst for reexamining my priorities, fostering deeper connections and pursuing endeavors that aligned with my values and passions. Through these deep reflections, my commitment to real estate was solidified. The unpredictable nature of the real estate market mirrored the uncertainties in my own life, and yet, navigating through real estate transactions became a source of focus and determination. Real estate, with its challenges and triumphs, provided a constant amidst the unpredictability of life. And to have the honor of helping people in their time of need, to be their trusted expert guiding them, is a role I take with pride. One of the things I enjoy doing is taking my kids on an annual vacation. During COVID, and amidst the health problems I was experiencing, we rented an RV and drove around Cape Cod, Maine and New Hampshire. All of us were crammed together for several days, sharing one bathroom and a tiny kitchen. And you know what? It was the best time! It reminded me that, through this all, the people by my side were what got me through. With my partner, Susan, my kids, and our dogs, JoJo and Roxie, I am blessed with a very full life.
Now, cancer-free and ready to embrace this new chapter, I want to be that source of unwavering support for my family, friends and clients. Offering help, guidance and compassion really can make all the difference in someone's life-I want to be that positive, uplifting force in all areas of my life!
Over many years in real estate, I still approach it with the same love and genuine joy in helping people start the next chapter of their lives. There's a unique satisfaction that comes from connecting with someone, working together to find what they're looking for and witnessing that "aha" moment when they realize I've uncovered something they didn't even know they wanted. It is all about talking with people, sometimes reading between the lines, to find the best solutions for them.
I've cultivated a diverse clientele, ranging from those looking to downsize or transition to senior living to first-time homebuyers. For me, it's not about where I work or who I work with-it's about enjoying the process and helping everyone who comes my way. With a background in high- end retail, I believe in providing a level of service that goes beyond the transaction. Service is not just about making money; it's about understanding that I am responsible for someone's life, goals and dreams. I don't focus on the commission; instead, I prioritize my clients and their needs, and the rest will follow. The relationships I build through real estate are equally important. When the transaction is over, I remain in your corner, helping you with anything you may need in this new chapter!
