Jennifer was wonderful to work with. Not only did she show me houses in the neighborhood that were of interest to me but once we had made a choice, she had her people available to check on some of the potential problems she noticed. The roof was one such item. She also had arranged for a property inspector right away so that we could move forward with the transaction. With her negotiating skills she was able to create a favorable outcome on a number of items. We had a fairly short escrow and are now well on our way and ready to move into our new home. We recently sold our starter home and purchased in Georgetown. Jenn Henry and her team were amazing from start to finish. They recommended using a program called Homeward so that we were able to make all-cash offers and compete with the bazillion investors swarming the greater Austin area. This process was complex but Jenn and Jacob helped us navigate everything from putting our home on the market to purchasing our new home. They were able to help us stage our home and sell it for well above the asking price. Jacob Diaz must have shown us a dozen houses and was always so patient with our millions of questions. We loved his personality and looked forward to seeing him at each showing. He also had excellent design ideas for spaces. Jenn is an expert negotiator and somehow managed to get us into a larger home that was still within our budget. She knew so many people and helped us shop for the best rates for everything from our mortgage to our roofer. We have heard there are other realtors, but we are convinced every other one is just a poor man’s Jenn Henry and team. Jenn has helped me buy my first and second homes and at this point, I can’t imagine working with another realtor for any future endeavors.

I can not say enough great things about Jennifer. She is a full time, high performing professional who knows how to market a home. She was referred to us by a friend in the mortgage business, and I wish I had asked him sooner! She impressed us from the start with her presentation and plan of action, not only saying what she was going to do but following through. We've bought and sold a lot of homes and would not hesitate to use her again, which is something I've only said twice before. We originally listed it with a local Georgetown agency in September. They talked a good game, had sold in Wolf Ranch before, were very nice and seemed competent, so we listed. When seven days went by, and we hadn't gotten a showing or call from our agent, I called them and was told - direct quote - "There's nothing I can do to sell your home. We just have to wait." We had signed a listing agreement, so we decided to honor it. By Thanksgiving, though, we were done. Two canceled open houses, no communication, and just a handful of showings, we pulled it off the market. We relisted with Jennifer in February and were in contract within a week, closed the sale within three weeks. Thanks for providing superior service and attention. We wish Jennifer all the best.

We were looking for a home in Central or North Austin, and had sticker shock at how much home prices had increased. Jen was very patient, never pushy, while she looked for a home we would truly love. She listened to all our concerns and answered our questions thoroughly, offering options we hadn't previously considered. Throughout the process, Jen treated us like family and made sure we had everything we needed to make an informed decision. We changed our minds about what we wanted several times, and she was happy to adjust her search to find the perfect property. She knows the Austin market inside and out, and is very experienced in dealing with building and repair issues. Jen was on a trip out-of-state when the right home came up for sale, but she called us right away, and arranged for a showing with her assistant, Wendy. We loved it and Jen worked hard (throughout her trip) to help us get the house. She is an excellent negotiator, and made sure our requests were met. We purchased our new home in late August 2015, and sold our original house in early December 2015. Both closings went quickly and smoothly, and Jen spoiled us with a beautiful gift each time. Jen also helped us get our original home ready for sale; thanks to her expertise, we had an offer in ten hours, and we sold our home for $20,000 more than we anticipated! Our new home is in North Shoal Creek and we couldn't be happier with the house, the location, the neighborhood, everything! Jen did an outstanding job finding us a great home in our budget in an area we love. We are now walking and biking distance from Alamo, The Goodnight, tons of fun shops, restaurants and a great park. Jennifer Mehis was extremely professional and very proactive during the recent sell of my parents home. Before we listed it, Jennifer walked through the house and made suggestions that would help sell the home. She showed me all the marketing that was available to her through Realty Austin. I was very impressed! Every time our home was shown, I was informed via e-mail. We had three contracts for our home but two were contingencies that fell through. I feel very fortunate that we had that many contracts as the neighborhood HOA limited our market by only accepting certain loans. Jennifer never wavered in her pricing. She did her research, and was confident in it. It was sold for the original asking price. Another quality that I liked in Jennifer was that she was a good adviser. If we needed windows cleaned or repaired, she suggested and helped line up quality and financially reasonable trades. The most fabulous realtor in Austin, if not the country. Jennifer goes above and beyond every step of the way. This is the third time Jennifer has assisted me in my real estate needs. First when the market was down several years ago, she helped me in leasing a rental house I have. She had it leased in record time and when the tenant backed out at the last minute she made sure he honored the lease till she located a new tenant, which was within days. Next, she assisted me in selling a house and knew that I didn't want to spend a small fortune in getting it ready for sale. Rather than making costly changes, she advised small ones and with her real estate/decorator eyes she had that property in a difficult market sold within a month. This most recent time-I needed a new property and was really focusing on the Wells Branch area. It has been a very tough market this year to work in as it's currently a seller's market, not a buyer's market. What made this even more challenging is that I was leaving the country for several months. So I really had to rely on Jennifer to look at the properties available after seeing the postings online. She and I had many conversations prior to my leaving and she absolutely understood what I was looking for and looked at the properties with not only her eyes but mine as well. There were a few offers made but none that resulted in me getting the home I wanted due to the bidding wars that ensued. Then when I thought for sure I was going to have to settle for a house in another neighborhood, Jen called and said I think I found the house. She had sent out several cold call letters and one looked very promising. Turns out it was very close to what we had been looking for. We made the offer and due to not being pushed into a bidding war, we got the house. That is only the beginning of how far Jen goes for her clients. The house had not had a new roof put on when the hail hit that area of Austin back in 2012. Jen fought hard and got the seller to push his insurance people and kept pushing- the result being I got a new roof. Then as I was still out of the country she arranged for the Title Company to email me the documents needed for me to have my son sign as power of attorney. I had them signed at the American Consulate and sent back via FEDEX to Jen and the Title Company. I purchased a house I had only seen online, and this is only because of my complete faith in Jennifer. She is professional, open, extremely knowledgeable, and a joy to work with. I will never need another agent as long I have Jennifer on my side. The bonus I got is that I wound up with a new friend as well.

In our 45 years of marriage, Jan and I have bought 7 houses in 3 states. Each time we have been blessed with personable, professional people who have guided our selection and purchase. The process has become much more complex and tedious through each of these. There is so much more to contend with now with the legalese and regulation and in such a sellers marketplace. We are especially grateful for Jennifer. From the start she advised us and answered our questions in a way that gave us confidence in our decisions and direction. She kept us current, handled arrangements with the inspector and set us up with our lender. She's also a relentless negotiator and represented us unceasingly. It's actually a bit ironic that Jennifer turned out to be our realtor. I was thinking it would be late this year before I had our accounts and plans in order to earnestly begin the house search. Jennifer was recommended to my sister by a coworker in New Braunfels as we were needing an agent to sell my mom's home in Austin. As luck would have it, Jennifer was selling a home a few doors down from my mom's home. Jennifer met with us promptly as we were in from out of town. I am concerned that my words will not fully express how very much my husband and I were impressed with Jennifer and her superior service to us. We interviewed a few Realtors over a year or so ago. Jennifer spent a lot of time with me offering suggestions about what we might need to do to get our house ready to sell. We ended up not selling at that point. However, we knew we would use Jennifer should we change our minds. We did change our minds this past December. Jennifer spent time looking through the MLS to find a new construction home we might want and she and I looked at some. However, my husband and I had previously looked at Emory Farms one Saturday several months before we called Jennifer to help us search for a new home. So she and I went back together to look at the houses/lots available there. Long story short, we decided to purchase a home in Emory Farms in Hutto. Jennifer was very helpful in the negotiations with the Gehan sales agent. We were very surprised and thrilled when Jennifer also went with us to the Design Center to give us her opinion/advice on what to pick for our home's options; flooring, wall paint, cabinets etc...She came twice, once one Wednesday evening as we were able to look over what materials were available and on the day we had to make all of our choices final. (That last day occurred right after she had returned from a trip). She helped in other ways throughout the building process. My husband and I were thinking about renting our current home so Jennifer spent a lot of time informing me about the rental process. She also ran comps for the neighborhood and shared those with us. In the end we had decided to sell our home. We had not formally signed with Jennifer when my husband mentioned to our neighbor that we were going to put our house on the market. He offered to buy it from us. We contacted Jennifer and asked her to facilitate this process. She came by and spoke with us about the price we should ask and she also sent us sales comps in our neighborhood to help us decide how to price our house for our neighbor. We had a few glitches in the process but Jennifer was right on top of them and fixed everything so that we were able to close on our house with our neighbor on the date he wanted. Jennifer is the best Realtor we have ever had; she worked very hard for us in both the purchase of our new home and the sale of our former home. We could not have been more pleased with all Jennifer did for us. Anytime we are asked about who to choose for a Realtor we will be giving them Jennifer's name and contact info.

Selling a home is an emotional, stressful lengthy process filled with many unexpected land mines. Your realtor is your only defense. Jennifer Mehis SAVED ME MULTIPLE TIMES. In 2011, I first considered selling my home. I contacted five realtors who had for sales signs up on houses in my hood and conducted Test 1: Who answered the phone? Who got back right away? Who was willing to meet me the next day to discuss selling my home? Jennifer Mehis passed Test 1.Test 2 measured what each realtor brought to our first meeting. Were they prepared? Did they come with stats about my neighborhood? How did they dress? Communicate? Did they have high energy? (I actually had one realtor tell me she was frequently out of commission with a bad back! -Really lady? Do you think I want to hire someone who can't do the job half the time? No commission to those out of commission! That's my motto). Were they positive? Did they have at least five years experience? How many clients did they represent at a time? I went through 4 or 5 other real-estate agents before working with Jen, and I'm relieved that I'll never have to shop for one again now that we've found her. We put our house on the market in 2010 shortly after the first-time homebuyer tax credit expired, so demand was down. We had listed it the year prior as well, but the house didn't get much exposure, even with a tax credit in place driving demand. So I wasn't confident that we'd actually be able to sell the property. Jen was insistent that with enough leg work, she could get enough traffic coming through to find the right buyer. She started by giving us some pointers for staging the house which made it more appealing for showings. Then she and her partners did a high-end photo shoot of the house that made it look incredible on the flyers and on the online listings. I don't remember exactly how many open houses she did for us, but I bet it was at least a half-dozen. By the time we found a buyer and closed on the house, I honestly felt like she was being underpaid for all of her efforts. But it didn't stop there - she was tireless in finding my wife and I the perfect rental property in the middle of Austin, which again, left me feeling as if she were underpaid for her efforts. I'm not sure if you're looking to buy or sell a property, but I can tell you that there's not a better real-estate agent in the state of Texas than Jennifer Mehis, and I know that you won't be disappointed should you choose her.
