Jill Peterson

Jill was born and raised in Santa Rosa and is a 6th generation Sonoma County native. She has been married to her husband, Dave, for 19 years and they have three children who keep them very busy! Having lived here her whole life, the love she’s developed for the area and the community has been a significant factor in choosing to raise her family here.

Real estate has always been an important part of Jill’s life, as her grandfather, father and husband have been involved in the real estate business for decades. This is a new career endeavor for her, and she is excited to be joining the Wine Country Colbert Group at Compass!

After graduating from Chico State University, Jill was an elementary school teacher for 5 years. She spent the past 10 years creating and implementing a youth mentoring program for the students at Roseland high schools. Through this program, she was very involved in the community working with over 400 community mentors.

Jill is passionate about Sonoma County and feels it is her duty to give back to the community that has provided her with so much throughout her life. She is the Past President and a current board member of Schools Plus organization, which fundraises for all Santa Rosa City Schools music, art and sports programs. She is also a board member of the Montgomery High School Boosters, where her 2 oldest children go to school.

Jill enjoys volunteering at her kids’ schools and has enjoyed coaching her daughter’s competitive soccer team over the past 6 years. She loves people, being outdoors, and she is excited to have the opportunity to continue to use her interpersonal skills to build relationships throughout the community.
