"I am an LA-based interior designer and a real estate investor, so I deal with real estate agents several times a year, all over SoCal. Some are better than others..but Jim is the best I have ever had the pleasure of working with. About Jim

I wasn’t born here, but I knew Santa Barbara was home the moment I arrived. Raised on the East Coast, I spent the first 15 years of my career in Washington, DC and New York City. A chance opportunity with a digital advertising start-up brought me here in 2005—and I was hooked. The natural beauty, active lifestyle, and unique pace of life captured me immediately.

I quickly discovered locals would head to the beach on summer evenings for swimming and running competitions, followed by live music, food, and beer. Somewhere between serious competition and pure fun, I realized, ā€œYep, these are my people.ā€

After a mix of start-ups and Fortune 500 stints, I found my second act in real estate. Today, I have over 10 years of full-time experience and more than $100 million in sales, combined with 20+ years in Marketing, Business Development, and Contract Negotiations. This combination sets me apart from other Realtors and allows me to provide my clients with exceptional guidance and results.

A long-time resident of both the City of Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley, my wife Kristin and I have lived in and owned properties in both areas, giving us firsthand experience of the unique lifestyle, neighborhoods, and communities each offers. We make our current home in the ā€œValley,ā€ where we’ve raised our four daughters.

We love running, swimming, cycling, and hiking, as well as theater and live music—and of course, wine tasting in this world-renowned region. We give back to our community by coaching with the Santa Barbara Special Olympics and serving on the boards of various non-profits.
