Jim Foley

Real estate has always been part of Jim Foley’s DNA. His father, John P. Foley Jr., owned and operated Jack Foley Realty in Bethesda, Maryland from 1963 through 1979, building it into one of the leading real estate brokerages in Montgomery County. Known as a forward-thinking leader, Jack Foley Realty was recognized for recruiting and hiring women as real estate agents at a time when the industry was largely male dominated. Jack also served as President of the Montgomery County Board of Realtors in 1975 and became a respected figure in Maryland real estate leadership before transitioning into mortgage banking and later founding Fairway Mortgage in 1985.

Jim followed in his father’s footsteps, beginning his mortgage career in 1985. Over the next several decades, he built an impressive career spanning nearly every level of the industry, from Loan Officer and Branch Manager to Regional Vice President and Divisional Vice President with Caliber Home Loans, one of the nation’s largest lenders. For 29 years, Jim originated mortgages directly, developing a deep understanding of buyers, sellers, financing, market strategy, and client relationships.

Like his father, Jim is a driven entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for real estate. He has purchased, remodeled, and flipped numerous properties, giving him firsthand insight into property value, renovation potential, investment strategy, and the emotional side of buying and selling a home.

In 2024, Jim became Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer at Intercoastal Mortgage, where he works alongside executive leadership to expand markets, recruit top talent, strengthen client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and support the company’s long-term business development vision.

Jim brings that same experience, leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving ability to his real estate career. Whether guiding buyers toward the right home or helping sellers position their property for success, Jim offers clients a rare combination of industry knowledge, market insight, financial expertise, and a family legacy deeply rooted in real estate.

A resident of Bonita Springs since 2020, Jim is an active member of the Bonita Bay Club and a lifetime member of the Congressional Country Club. A true foodie, Jim enjoys cooking memorable meals for friends and family, bringing people together through great food, conversation, and hospitality.
