After a career spanning more than 30 years in the legal field, working alongside local divorce attorneys, Joan decided to follow her passion for real estate. After 7 years in the real estate field, Joan is now proud to bring her experience, professionalism, and dedication to her clients as a real estate professional with Compass/Town Realty Chicago.
Joan's extensive background in family law has given her a unique understanding of how to work with people who are navigating significant life changes and emotional situations. She brings that same compassion, patience, and personal attention to every real estate transaction.
Since entering the real estate industry, Joan has successfully represented clients in the purchase and sale of a variety of residential properties, as well as clients who are business owners seeking new office or retail space.
Joan believes real estate is about more than simply showing properties. It's about getting to know her clients, and understanding what they are looking for, and recognizing that special moment when they know they have found the property they've been looking for - whether it's a forever home, a first home, a starter home, office/retail space or an investment property.
With experience on the seller side of residential real estate as well, Joan provides honest, straightforward guidance and understands the importance of helping sellers navigate the process with confidence.
Joan is also passionate about supporting military families. She volunteers with the USO at Midway Airport, helping provide a welcoming and supportive "home away from home" for active-duty, reserve, National Guard, and retired service members and their families while traveling. She is also certified as an American Warrior Real Estate Professional providing assistance and guidance to military families navigating the VA loan process when purchasing a home.
