Top-producing for over twenty years, Joan initially specialized in waterfront and high-end village properties with Cotton Real Estate, Inc. The firm was acquired by Sotheby’s International Realty in 2005.
Her extensive knowledge of the area as a resident, realtor and retailer is valued by her clients. She has leveraged her customer service and sales skills, negotiating prowess and marketing expertise, well honed during more than fourteen years as the owner and operator of a clothing store in Osterville, to the benefit of both buyers and sellers.
Her professional expertise in combination with the personal experience of living on Cape Cod is clearly appreciated by her clients. Satisfied client referrals now account for more than 80 percent of Joan’s clientele.
Having raised two children in Osterville, Joan is adept at analyzing the relative merits of the Cape Cod public school system and is equally informed on private schools throughout the area.
Professionally, Joan is a member of the National Association of Realtors and has earned its Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) designations. She is also a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS). Joan belongs to the Cape Cod & Islands Board of Realtors, is a Director of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, and was the 2012 President of the Cape Cod and Islands Association of Realtors and Multiple Service.
Giving back to the community she so enjoys is also important to Joan. She is a member of the Osterville Business and Professional Steering Committee and has received the Sotheby’s International Realty Community Service Award for the past two years.
As Joan’s career continues to explode she has made the decision to go into business with her daughter. Noticing that many clients buy homes both on Cape Cod and in Boston, Joan realized there was a niche market and she could provide the same service to both her and her daughter’s clients in both locations. The two are very excited about the new venture and how it will help their clients, whether they reside in Boston or on the Cape
