JoAnn Rice staged my home, represented me in selling my home, represented me in buying a new home. I first worked with The Rice Group(JoAnn & Brent) 12 years ago when I purchased my first townhome. During that time Brent helped me obtain the best financing rates possible and my closing went smoothly. Over the years my housing needs changed and now being married with a baby on the way, my wife and I needed to transition into a larger home in an area with great schools. Luckily Brent and I kept in touch and he was kind enough to help guide me through this process again. My situation could have been more stressful because we were buying and selling homes simultaneously. The Rice Group handled things perfectly starting with JoAnn, a professional in staging homes, examining our existing home. She was critical and also firm in her directives on how to proceed with staging our home. JoAnn gave us assignments: cleaning, dusting vents, making repairs, moving furniture, etc. and independently staged our place before any showings were scheduled. I have to admit that I was doubtful at first but after she worked her magic the difference was night and day! The housing market has recently been competitive and time was a factor for us, so Brent recommended and guided us through pre-qualification for financing. Sellers took us much more seriously and it made buying much easier! Brent negotiated the buying and selling but kept me in the loop on any progress. He let me know when action was needed on my part. I found that Brent works diligently and is extremely dependable. My daily work life was unchanged and I didn't need to modify my lifestyle at all. When our home went on the market it sold in hours with multiple offers! Not only was the accepted offer over our asking price, our stress of double mortgages disappeared! In the end, Brent helped negotiate a closing & move-out date that took into consideration the delivery of our baby, time in the hospital, and moving into our newly renovated home.(this all took place in the same week!)
