His father, head of Business Affairs at MGM, was a master dealmaker, negotiating contracts with Hollywood’s top stars, directors, and producers. His mother had a gift for design, creating homes that were both beautiful and unforgettable. Randolph absorbed both sides—business acumen and creative vision—and carried them forward first as a writer and producer on projects like Police Academy 7 and Tales from the Crypt, and later into a thriving real estate career.
