Joe Shashaty

Born and raised in the heart of New York City, Joe Shashaty brings a distinctive New York edge to Austin real estate—blending hustle, hospitality, and high-performance execution. He began his career in biotech sales before moving to Austin in 2021 to partner with one of the city’s leading YouTube channels, revamping their business model and launching a new platform that enabled subscribers to invest in their own residential projects.

Joe went on to co-found Homemade, a venture-backed real estate platform that raised $4M in VC funding to scale operations across Texas. After completing over 30 residential renovations and raising $3M+ in private investor capital, he exited the company in Spring 2025 and now brings that full-stack operator expertise to The Silver Group at Compass.

Known for his unreasonable hospitality, first-in-class service, and relentless focus on doing the unscalable, Joe works with buyers, sellers, and investors who want more than just a transaction. Whether it’s guiding a family relocating from out-of-state or helping an investor underwrite and execute a complex flip, Joe’s approach is hands-on, thoughtful, and data-driven.
