Before real estate, John developed outstanding people skills in the health and wellness industry. As a fitness instructor, he learned to educate people and usher them to their goals with understanding and empathy. John uses that same skill set when ensuring buyers and sellers are informed and empowered to make wise decisions throughout their real estate journeys. Today, he serves buyers, sellers and investors throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan, with a particular fondness for the Upper West Side where he resides. In Connecticut, he specializes in Candlewood and the surrounding towns as a member of the Distel Team. No matter the goal, John goes the extra mile to overcome challenges and close deals as quickly and profitably as possible.
A native New Yorker through and through, John was born in Lenox Hill Hospital and raised on the Upper East Side and Long Island. He attended Hobart and William Smith College and earned a bachelor's degree in biology and psychology from NYU. Today, John splits his time between the city and Sherman, Connecticut. Believing that keeping fit is essential to leading a productive life, he complements gym workouts with running, hiking, swimming and tennis. John enjoys food and old classic movies, sometimes together. He's also a great cook specializing in simple, healthy recipes and a voracious reader of history, historical fiction and biographies.
