Hello, I'm John Seffker, Senior Partner & Broker Associate at DPP Real Estate/Compass. With a lifelong passion for art, architecture, and real estate, I bring a unique blend of expertise to my clients. Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and raised in Wisconsin and Florida, I fell in love with Los Angeles and have proudly called it home since 1991. My father was an award winning chef and culinary master, my mother a phenomenal seamstress and inspirational artist. Among other things, they taught me how to love, appreciate what we have and the company that we keep. I take pride in my midwestern work ethic which I combine with a passion and deep appreciation for art and architecture. 

I cut my teeth in the real estate world working alongside a prominent REO broker in the early 90’s where I gained invaluable experience selling a wide variety of properties which allowed me to parlay that experience into professionally advising and representing sellers and buyers of residential and commercial real estate. 

Outside of real estate, I am a lifelong bassist and have been playing with my band for over 30 years. I also enjoy staying active through beach volleyball, soccer, bowling with the LA Gutter Punx and even kickball. In my downtime, I savor great wine, culinary creations and cheer on our Los Angeles sports teams. Let’s just say I really enjoy life and appreciate every day.

Over the years, I have successfully sold properties all over California, from the coast to the desert, mountain resorts, and wine country. Additionally, I have consulted and facilitated real estate transactions across the United States and internationally, collaborating with trusted colleagues around the world. My commitment to providing personalized and comprehensive service to my clients is at the heart of everything I do.
