John Townsend

John is highly active in San Francisco’s luxury property market, selling two of the City’s most expensive homes in each of the last 2 years -- for $11,750,000 and $15,850,000, respectively. He has set numerous sales records in San Francisco’s emerging neighborhoods, including price-per-square-foot records in Noe Valley, Bernal Heights, Alamo Square, Russian Hill and several important condominium and cooperative apartment buildings across the city. John is focused on selling properties in various price ranges, with most of his transactions in the $2 million to $10 million range, where the market is most active.

John’s understanding of market analytics and trends enables him to translate an overwhelming amount of information into a comprehensive and personalized real estate strategy for each client. John volunteers as a member of The Guardsmen and is also an active member of San Francisco’s Olympic Club. A San Francisco native, John attended Stuart Hall for Boys and then St. George’s School in Newport, Rhode Island. He earned his undergraduate degrees in Business Management and Art History at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, where he played on its nationally ranked NCAA Division III Lacrosse Team. John currently lives in San Francisco with his wife and son.
