About John
John began his real estate career early in life, assisting his mother in all aspects of managing the family’s multi-family home. By 2001, John transitioned from Marketing and Sales in technology companies to full-time real estate sales.
In 2005, John and fellow Hammond Residential Real Estate associate, Bill Janovitz, formed a and marketing partnership. Together, they have built a team that is consistently number one in Lexington since 2010, and have co-founded popular websites, modernmass.com and janovitz-tse.com, which garner tens of thousands of views.
Janovitz+Tse have annual business of $40 million from sales of modest capes and farmhouses and unique mid-century Modern homes to new construction and multi-million dollar luxury properties.

John is a 25+year resident of Lexington with two children who have gone from Lexington pre-K (Community Nursery School) through the entire Lexington Public School system. Over the years, he has served: on soccer coaching teams, in neighborhood Civic Association, as member of Town Meeting; as well as spearheaded the technology effort for Bowman school Big Backyard program, and volunteer lead for various Habitat for Humanity local projects.
John enjoys woodworking projects, painting, and photography, frequently contributing to Janovitz+Tse’s images with his twilight shots.
